Olive Trees grow in many parts of the Holy Land but the richness and textures of the Bethlehem olive wood is not matched. No other hardwood excels Bethlehem olive wood in beauty of grains and variety of coloring. The beauty of Bethlehem olive wood takes many forms. As we turn it, it often changes completely from its outside appearance. There is something very mystical about watching it reveal its final appearance. Sometimes the grain pattern is almost nonexistent with just one swirl of grain giving the piece an elegant beauty. On other occasions a more complex grain with an almost marbled effect that manifests itself in a varying and smooth grain, making every piece extraordinarily unique.

Difficult To Match
It is very difficult to match the grain of two pieces since the pattern is completely hidden in the heart of the wood. As it ages, it will become darker and richer in color thus making it even more beautiful.
